Project Manager

Julia Xiao is a project manager engaged in a number of large scale master planning projects at Hill West. Since joining Hill West, Julia has been working at the intersection of public and private realms, transforming once underutilized industrial land stretching along the New York City waterfronts undergoing remediation and redevelopment into new and vibrant mixed-use and residential complexes. Julia led the ULURP for the rezoning of Special Flushing Waterfront District and contributed significantly to the master planning of Bankside and Williamsburg Wharf.

Prior to joining Hill West, Julia worked for Cooper Robertson, PEI Architects, and PBDW Architects. Julia holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Barnard College, Columbia University.

Julia’s interest in urbanism is rooted in and shaped by her upbringing in both New York and Shanghai.
